The program provides your SME with up to $15k to consult a Digital Advisor and develop a CDAP-approved digital adoption plan for your business.
The digital adoption plan must include the following elements:
- Information about the current state of the SME, helping the digital advisor to understand their strategic goals, their business and process challenges, as well as the current baseline of their existing technology.
- Technology options analysis, for those SMEs which already have some components of a digital strategy or analysis. With the digital advisor's expertise, the SME can identify what types of digital solutions it should consider and how those solutions align to its overall business goals.
- A digital strategy and associated business benefits which take into account the SMEs governance and culture, its business model, its key processes, its current digital strategy, its work methods, its informational and technological capabilities as well as its cybersecurity maturity.
- The implementation of a roadmap to identify key business actions to be done prior to adoption of digital solutions as well as a proposed list of technology projects or initiatives.
For the main projects proposed in the digital adoption roadmap, the advisor will also provide high-level project timelines, dependencies and an appreciation for the costs, the complexity and level of change adopting these new technologies will require.
Since every SME has different needs, the digital adoption plan will be tailored to the specific requirements of each business.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Boost Your Business Technology Program, a business must:
- be Canadian-owned
- be for-profit
- have 1 to 499 employees
- have had at least $500,000 and no more than $100 million in annual revenue in one of the last three years
