How to Use Tech to Ease Ontario-Based Employees Back Into the Office

Over the past few months on our blog we’ve talked a lot about the benefits of remote work. We have also discussed the large number of organizations that are moving towards long-term work-from-home strategies here in Ontario, and how they are set to last long after the pandemic ends.

While this can bring huge benefits for some companies, we understand that for others it simply doesn’t work.

With many businesses now reopening across Ontario, Canada, employers are faced with the task of figuring out how to successfully transition employees back into the office in a safe and organized manner.

When easing your employees back into the office, you have two priorities.

Not only do you need to think about business continuity and how your organization will continue to operate (maybe you will only bring half of your employees back to the office or you will alternate between half in the office and half at home each week), but you also need to ensure you implement safety measures and a concrete plan that protects the health of your team members and their families.

Making the transition back into the office

Work environments aren’t going to look the same for the foreseeable future. That’s ok, your business just needs to make sure it takes some steps to protect the health and safety of its employees.

These safety measures could include:

  • Having a detailed return to work plan, laying out clear guidelines for the prioritization of employee safety.
  • Ensuring you manage your team with trust and empathy.
  • Having open and honest communication with your employees about new protocols and checking in to see how your staff are feeling.
  • Creating new cleanliness habits such as wiping down surfaces, washing hands and not coming into work when sick.

Most importantly though, technology should play a huge role in your return to work - particularly if you intend on having client visits.

That’s why OT Group will now be offering consultation, integration, installation and ongoing support services for the innovative new Monito Essential body temperature and contactless sign-in system.

What is Monitio Essential and how does it work?

Monitio Essential is a body temperature and contactless sign-in system that protects the health and safety of the employees working in your physical office.

By using contactless sign-in, temperature checks, comprehensive self assessment COVID-19 questionnaires and contact tracing, Monitio has been built specifically to help Canadian businesses administer a safe working environment for both employees and visitors.

The technology used by Monitio Essential makes it possible to take the temperature of an employee or visitor in as little as two seconds, while contactless operations means users can scan a QR code, complete questionnaires and sign-in all by using their own smartphone.

Meanwhile, Monitio securely records all screening results with personal contact information to allow organization to easily conduct contact tracing, and its intelligent data management systems allows administrators to seamlessl access staff/visitor attendance records or receive sign-in notifications when someone arrives at the office.

Want to learn more about how Monito Essential can help make your transition back to the office a safer experience for your employees? Contact OT Group today. We would love to talk to you more about this innovative technology and answer any questions that you may have.
